This year’s AMA West Extreme Enduro Championship kicked off over the weekend with the challenging Grinding Stone Hard Enduro.

Taking place at Glen Canyon in the very north of the state of Arizona, close to the stunning Lake Powell, the course featured a mix of sandstone and soft sand with various hill climbs, rock slides and side hills to test riders’ skills to the max.

A stacked field of riders were all vying for a spot on the podium in both the men’s and women’s Pro classes, but it was two of our Sherco FactoryOnce Racing stars who shone brightest to come away with some impressive race victories around the 15 mile hare scramble course.

Both Cody Webb and Louise Forsley come from a trials background, and it’s clear to see when you watch them tackle the most demanding obstacles, helped on of course by a selection of Kenda tyres from our enduro range, which they mix and match to suit the conditions of each race.

Cody managed to fend off a strong challenge from Trystan Hart for the win in the men’s race, while Louise finished ahead of Kylee Sweeten to give the factory team another reason to celebrate in Arizona.

Next up the riders will be heading to Texas for The RevLimiter Extreme Enduro in April, where Cody and Louise will be hoping to build on their strong start.
