Kenda has announced the addition of Hall of Fame racer Johnny Campbell, also know as the “King of Baja”, to its legendary team of brand ambassadors.
Campbell’s impressive career accolades include a record 11 SCORE Baja 1000 titles, 17 consecutive Baja 1000 wins, and induction into the Off-road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2018.
Campbell’s natural talent lead to a relationship with Honda early in his career, and since then the team has utilised his expertise to help with the development of several of Honda’s off-road motorcycles. This relationship also played a role in Campbell launching Team JCR/Honda in 2008, where he recruited a competition-crushing lineup and dominated the Baja 1000.

As impressive as his performances are on the track, Campbell is also known as a hero off it. He is a champion for kids, and uses his celebrity to bring awareness and support to orphanages and children in need. Johnny was one of the founders of the annual Baja Beach Bash ride that raises money for Rancho Santa Marta Orphanage in San Vicente. Since it’s inception in 2009, the Baja Beach Bash has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the children at Santa Marta.
Campbell will represent Kenda and Honda Racing at popular events including Barstow-to-Vegas, Big Bear 100, Bishop Run, Rip to Cabo and Baja Beach Bash.
While he will primarily be riding Kenda Big Blocks and Parker DT dual sport tyres, Campbell will also be instrumental in the testing and launch of Kenda’s new models.
Asked about the new partnership, Campbell says, “I am very happy to be partnering with Kenda for 2021-22. Their product lineup has a great variety for all types of disciplines of off-road racing and riding. The quality and performance is top shelf!”
The Kenda team is thrilled to have Johnny on board, and we are heading into the racing season full throttle.
The K784 Big Block is available in the UK in a wide range of sizes for adventure bikes, customs and even the Honda Grom!
