Last weekend saw the third round of this year’s AMA West Xtreme Championship take place at Glen Helen Raceway, with a double victory for Kenda and our partners at Sherco FactoryOne Racing.

Running over a two-day format, the Saturday at Prairie Dog MC’s Last Dog Standing saw riders line up for a hot lap qualifier to determine the start order for Sunday morning. Weather conditions made for a wet and slippery run over the obstacles along the infamous Rubicon, with a heap of bikes and bodies vying for space in the chaos.

KTM’s Trystan Hart topped qualifying, with Cody Webb in second for Sherco.

The opening moto saw Colton Haaker lead from the front until the Pro riders hit the tyre pile, and with Haaker struggling Cody took his opportunity to drag himself to the top and grab the win.

When it came to the second moto, no one could get close to Cody who took a very early lead. By the end of the race he’d opened up a gap of more than 6 minutes, and 7 minutes combined across the two races to finish well ahead of Hart.

This was Cody’s fifth win at Last Dog since he made his debut in 2014, and he remains in pole position in the championship standings after another impressive performance.

Cody’s Sherco FactoryOne teammate Louise Forsley also continued her good run of form in the Women’s Pro class as she fought her way to 30th overall and a class victory to keep her in championship pole position.
